Digital Tuesday Challenge 47 ~ For Mum!

It's Tuesday and time for another Digital Tuesday Challenge! Lorraine is hosting the challenge this week. Our challenge: to make A Card For Mum, this could be Mothers Day, birthday or just to say I love you. It can be a card or other project whatever you feel like creating but must contain at least one Digital Image.

I used a pre-colored Fred, She Said image, Favourite Flowers for this challenge....I'm in love! I kept the card extremely simple, only a few white rub-ons and 2 tiny Martha Stewart butterflies. I cut out the gorgeous pansies and popped them up on foam tape for dimension!

I used the new Corner Rose from Fred's Favourite Flowers set. Looking for a soft and simple card...I layered the rose on a few punced pieces (Fiskars and Martha Stewart). I layered these over a Pink Paislee Postcard, loved the soft colors and chocolate borders. Tucked a SU! Top Note die cut in there and finished it off with three tiny heart brads. Perfect for the rose-lovers in your lives!

The Rubber Cafe in GLITTER!

I'm posting today for The Rubber Cafe. Here is another card featuring the beautiful Paisley Tulip done up in glitter and acetate!! I used Art Insitute Glitters for the glitter and acetate technique.

....and the Large Celitc Rosette is stunning done in this technique as well!

...and one more Large Swirl Butterfly done up with Cosmo Cricket's Chemistry Collection.

I'm loving this gorgeous tea cup full of pansies! I love pansies...can't grow them...but I love them just the same!! I colored these with Copic Markers RV10, R85, R39, E42, E50, YG17, YG67, YG05, YR23, Y11. I cut the image out and popped it up on foam tape. It is layered on an Embossing Arts Die Cut from ages ago...could it be *vintage?!* I ran it through Cuttlebug's Paisley Embossing Folder for some added texture. I finished the card by matting a Martha Stewart punched piece for my *table.* This would be perfect for a get well, thinking of you or birthday card for a tea-loving friend!

Embellish-Online Blings It Up!

Hi, and welcome to another great Friday Challenge with Embellish-Online.com!! This week is all about bling.....sparkles, shimmer, anything that shines and glistens! Kim's challenge was to USE AT LEAST 2 TYPES of Bling on your project (card, layout, altered item)!

This card features the gorgeous designer paper from Pink Paislee's Cupid Collection. The image is by The Rubber Cafe, and has been stamped on acetate with Stazon ink and glittered with Art Institute Glitters. I used Art Institute's glitter in 105 Forget Me Not and 85 Crystal. I also used Espresso Ultra Fine Glitter from Stampa Rosa. I layered the medallion on a the Fleur De Lis Nestability. White wired ribbon from Michaels was from my scrap bin.

Finally, this card features the same Letterbox Designer Paper from American Crafts.

The Large Swirl Butterfly from The Rubber Cafe is done using the following Art Institute Glitters: 62 Copper Canyon and 197 Flax. I used Stampa Rosa's Espresso glitter on this one as well. Dress It Up glitter dots and another scrap of ribbon from my bin.

Valentine Grows Up!

This card started with the simple ATC style valentine card from yesterday. I paired it up with Archiver's Chocolate Truffle cardstock and SU!'s True Thyme. The ATC itself was stamped on SU!'s Kraft cardstock.

Valentines 2010

My son is in second grade, and Valentine's Day isn't real high on his list of favorite things. I told him I'd make his valentines and came up with these simple and quick Valentines to exchange with his class.

My plan was to have him just give the cars to everyone...but he insisted the girls needed something different. He approved these stamps and decided the flowers had to be purple!
It seems a bit *grown up* for second grade girls to me....but if he's happy, so am I! It was quick and inexpensive and I just think I could use this little *ATC* on a card that a woman would enjoy!!

The Rubber Cafe - I Fancy You!

Ack! These little cuties are getting all cozy for Valentine's day!! I Fancy You, from The Rubber Cafe, is a complete stamp....you get the frame and the turtles. I stamped the image in green ink and then traced it with the Olive Spica Glitter Pen. I cut out the heart and some of the greenery to make a small frame for my little lovers! I glittered the heart with some Art Institute Cranberry glitter. The turtles also come separately in Dancin' Cheek to Cheek, so I stamped them again in black ink and then colored them up with Copic Markers.

Here is another version I did with less cutting and a few more fun Valentine stamps!

XOXO comes from the set Labrador of Love. I stamped it along the edge of the card as a border. I Love You comes from the set Sweet Kitty. I added some more Cranberry glitter and a few gems for a bit of bling!

Digital Tuesday Challenge - Fun Folds!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Anjou is our challenge hostess this week on the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog. This week there were no themes, no colors, no sketches..... she wanted us to move outside the box and make a card using a different kind of fold.

My card is another one with a simple top fold that gives the card a different feel. The ribbon is twisted and threaded through two holes punched in the top portion of the card. For this look, I taped the tales inside the card, so they are cleverly hidden.

Designer paper is by Bo Bunny, the pre-colored digital image is Better Than Chocolate by Fred, She Said digital designs. I used Spellbinders dies to frame my image. The lacey border is a Martha Stewart punch....so fun! I layered it on brown cardstock, distressed the edge and finished my flower centers with Stampendous Sparkle-Dot Heart stickers!

If you saw my card the other day, you know I think this verse is a hoot! I cut out one of the flowers from the candy box image and attached it over a Sizzix swirl die cut for a fun embellishment inside this card. Perfectly fun when you want to be just a little sassy this Valentines Day!
