Simple Wishes

I was in the mood for simple and clean designs today. This technique isn't new....but it's new to me! For this look you ink the *top* of the cuttlebug embossing folder...and then when it embosses, it colors your de-bossed areas and leaves the embossing white! I usually hit the embossing with my ink pad or brayer for a reverse effect.

The card base is white and the colored cardstock is SU!'s Vintage Violet which is retired. I actually started out wanting Almost Amethyst...but my brayer was dirty! LOL! I don't have the Vintage Violet ink pad....so this worked out quite well!!

  • Vintage Violet Cardstock
  • White Cardstock
  • Cuttlebug's Happy Birthday Embossing Folder
  • Cuttlebug's Birthday Present Die cut
  • Purple Marvy Scallop Square Punch
  • EK Success gems

I'll also upload the Almost Amethyst version that started this all tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Gorgeous! I love the white on that cuttlebug folder. It really makes the sentiments pop. I've been meaning to use this folder; thanks for the awesome ideas. If you want the vintage violet ink pad, I could send you a reinker & then you could buy an empty ink pad... Let me know if you'd like it & I'll mail it off. :0)
