Just Because

Having one of those cleaning off my desk moments...and some of the pieces turned into this card featuring inchies. Had I planned this card, I would have stamped the inchies differently for a more pleasing effect...but since I was using scraps I just went with it. The pieces were colored, run through the Distressed Stripes Embossing folder and then lightly sanded. Some flowers and vines were cut out. The flower petals were curled upwards and the vines naturally curled upwards...and I liked the effect. Love the Fiskars Threading Water punch....it makes the punched scallops I love without all of the steps. Apricot is not usually my color of choice....but this is a RAK and it's one of her favorite colors!! Stamp set is Fancy Pants' Simply Stated. Just Because is from A Muse. The Gable Green cardstock has been run through the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Speaking of RAK's....this is a magic post....leave me a comment on this post and if I pick your name out of the hat I'll send you a little RAK. Lastel...you're still on my list.....and up next....so you can start stalking your mailperson!! Have a great week!!!!

Very nice usage of scrap pieces! The card is totally gorgeous and doesn't look like 'I used scraps' at all. ;^)
